Rock Choir

Richard studied music at the highly acclaimed Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He studied choral conducting with Simon Halsey and orchestral conducting with Jonathon Del Mar.

He fell in love with conducting almost immediately and since graduating with a music degree has conducted orchestras, choral societies, community choirs and musical theatre companies all across the Midlands and more recently in Devon and the South West of England.

In 2017 he successfully auditioned to become a rock choir leader in Devon. Rock Choir is the biggest community choir in the UK. There are 28,000 members singing in over 400 communities nationwide. Members don’t have to audition and don’t have to have any experience with singing in choirs. Rock Choir is full of people who love to sing, meet new people and have fun together. It’s a great way to improve self confidence and to make lifelong friends and is great for your well being and mood as well as your physical and mental health. Rock choir sing uplifting, upbeat pop and rock songs in harmony and perform in the local communities to make others feel happy and to make people smile!
