Plymouth to Santander Mini Cruise - April 2026. Wow! What a time we had together. Four fabulous shows, a flash mob, lots of spontaneous singing, lots of laughter, new friendships made, good food (maybe a little drink as well!). Great team work! This trip showed everyone what Rock Choir truly is - yes we are a great choir but we are so much more than that! I was immensely proud to spend the last two days with you all - you were magnificent! Feedback from the passengers was actually quite emotional and very moving! So positive! The captain of the ship even came down to listen! ‘We were so lucky to have the wonderful Richard Toomer as our violinist for our elopement wedding on July 30th 2019.

From our very first correspondence with Richard, he was so warm, professional and enthusiastic. We had a good idea of what we were after, and Richard listened and was so accommodating, even learning two new pieces for us for our day. He also had a vast repertoire for us to choose the bulk of our music from.

He played the pieces so beautifully, with his rendition of Steve Earle's Galway Girl bringing me to tears - it was just so perfect! Underlining his versatility, he played a more upbeat version of the same song later on for us all to boogie along to, and it was just fantastic. He learnt Bowie’s Magic Dance for us to exit to and he completely picked up on our enthusiasm for this song and everyone, including the registrars, boogied their way down the aisle. It was wonderful!

Richard, thank you for being part of our day and making it so special, you were fantastic! ’

‘If you need a violinist or pianist who plays everything from Coldplay to Bach then this is your man! Hugely talented but also very easy to work with. Richard already has a huge repertoire (some of which is listed on his website) but if he doesn’t know it, is super flexible and will learn any requests. It was really easy to book Richard (we dealt with Richard over email/WhatsApp) and he was quick to respond to queries. Feedback from guests was superb - I will never forget standing in the sunshine listening to Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’! A huge thank you and couldn’t recommend Richard more. ’
