Exe Valley Duo playing at Bradstone Manor.

Another fabulous Devon venue, this time down by Tavistock at the very beautiful Bradstone Manor Farm. Beautiful surroundings and beautiful summer weather. Just a duo today with Richard on the violin and Lucy on the cello. We played a range of special requests including Canon in D, Concerning Hobbits, Everlasting Love, Wildest Dreams and one of our favourites, Teenage Dirtbag! What a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon in June!

Exe Valley Duo at Deer Park Hotel

Busy weekend. Sunday I joined Lucy and played as a string duo for a wedding ceremony and drinks reception at the very lovely Deer Park Country House . I transcribed 'Flowers' by sweet Female Attitude and we played it just before the ceremony. We played a stripped back version of 'Say you won’t let go' by James Arthur for the brides entrance. Lovely wedding at a beautiful venue. Nice to play as a duo.

Christmas Eve gig at Bovey Castle.

What a lovely way to spend Christmas Eve. I spent the afternoon with Lucy our cellist from the Exe Valley String Quartet
and we entertained the guests at the very beautiful and stunning Bovey Castle.  We are very fortunate that as their recommended supplier we are invited to play at this 5 star hotel complex many times across the year.  We played some original duo arrangements of some traditional Christmas carols while the guests had afternoon tea.  Very nice to! Nice to be playing alongside a 'live' musician and for an appreciative audience.

We played at a lovely wedding today in Exeter. This time is was the Exe Valley String Duo. We played for the civil ceremony at Larkbeare House first and the music choices included Canon (Pachelbel), My Heart will go on, Tale as old as time and Rule the World! Then we went off to The Devon Hotel and Carriages to play some more classical and pop while everybody enjoyed a drink and a chat in the sunshine. Congratulations to Jonathon and Gareth.
