Well done Plymouth Rock Choir. A fabulous performance this afternoon in Old Town Square by Drakes Circus. Lots of lovely positive comments from the shoppers and local public who stopped to listen. You should all fell very proud. You are all stars! Thank you to the weather Gods for keeping the sunshine out for us. I had an extra special afternoon as I popped over to the beautiful Barbican for Fish and Chips for a late lunch with my son Harrison! Love Plymouth! Such a beautiful City! We absolutely love to play at a traditional church summer wedding. The acoustics are always great for string instruments. This is St Mary’s Church, Wolborough in Newton Abbot. We played a couple of new arrangements today which is always nice. ‘The Power of Love’ by Jennifer Rush for the Brides entrance and also ‘All for Love’ by Bryan Adams for the exit of the bridal party and guests. We like to play songs and pieces that have an emotional meaning for the happy couple. (We even played for the hymns)To contrast we played the beautiful Flower Duet during the signing of the register. Lovely wedding ceremony in a beautiful old church.

Bovey Tracey Party in the Park 2025. This is rapidly becoming one of our favourite local community gigs on the calendar. 100 South Devon Rockies put in a brilliant performance in front of large crowds. Really great singing from everyone with real power and expression. You should all feel very proud! Well done to those rockies on their first gig with us as well - you were awesome. As you can see from the photos many rockies stayed on afterwards to celebrate. Lots of food and drink and of course lots of dancing and even more singing!
