Teignmouth Airshow 2023. What a great gig we had yesterday at the Teignmouth Airshow. Great atmosphere on the Den and the Teignmouth Rock Choir where fantastic. What a great sound. Lots of great feedback from the crowd and well done with our new songs - I think that they went down really well! Special shout out to Pam, Wendy, Jeanne on your first gig with Rock Choir. You were amazing!  Four gigs in three days - Loved them all but glad they are all over now!

Plymouth Armed Forces Day 2023. A very warm gig but an exceptional performance from the Plymouth Rock Choir! I am so proud of each and every one of you for being so professional! You sounded fantastic and the audience loved it! You also looked very smart (well done - I know it was hot). Thank you for being awesome at such a special event for Plymouth. Absolutely awesome morning singing with our Plymouth Rockies (and a few guest rockies) at the Cancer Research UK Race for Life on Plymouth Hoe. One of my favourite gigs in the summer calendar this one as we support hundreds of amazing people doing the Race for Life for all sorts of different but very personal reasons. We sing, we clap, we cheer! You all looked and sounded brilliant and well done for singing so well in the humid conditions. I am yet again a very proud choir leader!! Rock Choir. 

The South Devon Rockies were on fire today singing at the English Riviera Airshow. Thank you each and every one of you for your professionalism and of course your amazing singing. Lovely day with my Plymouth Rockies having a 'catch up' day. Lots and lots of singing! We went through Hold on, Bridge Over Troubled Water, I just haven't met you yet, Shine, She will be loved, This is me and Super Trouper. A double header of Rock Choir gigs across South Devon for the Kings Coronation celebrations.  First off we sung in sunny Torquay on Sunday overlooking the English Riviera. A beautiful backdrop for a gig.  The rockies were on fire creating a terrific atmosphere as the crowds all joined in and sung with us and danced with us.  On Monday we did exactly the same in Dawlish.  Two fantastic gigs which we are very proud of. Great singing, great crowds and great atmosphere at both gigs.  Well done South Devon Rock Choir!

What a great way to start the brand new summer term. We love singing at the MaltingsFest and there is always a great crowd and great atmosphere. 90 rockies came together today with no rehearsals after five weeks Easter holiday and were brilliant. Well what a day that was! I am emotionally drained. 150 Rockies from South Devon Rock Choir came together today to record the video for our 'Fix You' by Coldplay project. Each and every one of you should be immensely proud of today. What an amazing performance of a beautiful arrangement of 'Fix You'. You sang with such expression and so much emotion. I cannot wait to see the final video and hear the thousands of voices on the track. Well done everyone and Thank you. Exclusively Elvis Vocal Workshop March 4th 2023. Jailhouse Rock, I can't help falling in love with you, Burning Love. I love these workshops because we start from nothing and leave a few hours later with this wonderful arrangement of songs in three and four part harmony. A great achievement from all involved. What a great way to start a Saturday. What shall we do next? 60 Rockies from all over Devon.  It's always lovely to join up together and work with Vikki and her members.  Great day!

Well that was awesome!! A six hour marathon singing session with my Rockies from Torquay, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth at the beautiful Buckfast Abbey. It was a chance to learn/revise some of our older repertoire like 'Hold on' and 'Bridge over Troubled Water'. We all worked extremely hard and are shattered now but it was so worth it. All these 'new' songs sound great and ready for our set lists! Well done everyone. Onto Plymouth next where we will do it all again! We are going to sleep well tonight!

We have just lead a short 'come and have a try' session in Newton Abbot Library. We had a really lovely afternoon singing within our local community. Small and intimate gigs are really enjoyable. We sang some of our songs and then we asked the audience to join us in a few of our unique 'warm ups'. Really lovely final gig of this busy festive season. We sing at the Mayors Carol service in Newton Abbot every year and every year this event gets better and better. Nice to entertain the locals in our local community and lead the audience in the traditional carols. Merry Christmas to rockies everywhere and especially to my amazing South Devon Rockies! Christmas Gigs continued this evening at the iconic Theatre Royal Plymouth. Plymouth Rockies were invited to sing pre panto (Oh yes we were!). Lovely cosy venue with really lovely staff who treated us to mince pies afterwards. Plymouth Rockies were on top form and the performance was excellent and very well received by the theatre goers. A different kind of gig for us but one we thoroughly enjoyed. Well done everyone and thank you for turning out on a filthy wet and windy night!

First time at Totnes Christmas market - complete success! We loved singing at this event. Very festive vibe in Totnes and a great crowd who loved our songs. The South Devon Rockies were on top form and we sang brilliantly considering the sub zero temperatures. On to Powderham Castle Christmas lights tomorrow night. Christmas is well and truly here for the Rockies in South Devon.  Saturday the rockies from Teignmouth entertained the crowds at the Christmas tree lights switch on in town. On Sunday it was the turn of the Plymouth rockies who entertained the crowds at the Plymouth Christmas market.  Two brilliant gigs!  All of the rockies should be so proud of their performances.  Lots of great singing and lots of happy people and wonderful feedback.  Special mention to Sam who smashed her debut solo with Higher Love and a special mention to both performances of 'Carol of the Bells' - brilliant all weekend and a real highlight!

What a morning! 100 singers learning the iconic song 'You will be found' from Dear Evan Hanson with me at The Watermark, Ivybridge. A great pick me up and feel good session which is just what we all need at the moment. The choir did a brilliant job. Learning a brand new song in four part harmony was a challenging but hugely rewarding session. And, what a result! The sound at the end of our three hour workshop was simply amazing. Well done everyone. I hope you enjoyed the scrummy chords as much as I did!

Today we went back to Mount Edgecombe for our second visit of the summer. The weather wasn’t quite as nice as last time but we still had a great morning singing and smiling and entertaining the locals. Well done Rockies for being professional as always. Gigs are what you make them and today was great. Thank you Miss Ivy Events for the invite.

Thank you Dawlish Celebrates Carnival for another great gig. We always love to sing in Dawlish and the audience was lively and so appreciative. We even got a standing ovation at the end! I am proud of my choir members for singing with so much intensity and enthusiasm in such 'hot' conditions. Each and everyone of you were brilliant yesterday and you all look so smart. Well done everyone!

August 5th 2022 - Buckfast Abbey Summer fair. Fantastic gig at the most beautiful of venues. A hidden gem in South Devon for sure. Over 100 rockies came together to sing to a really appreciative audience who joined in with the singing and the dancing. The South Devon Rockies were on top form. Well what an awesome gig we had on Sunday afternoon. We performed two sets at the Ice Cream and Bubbles fair at the very beautiful Mount Edgecombe House. Thank you so much to Miss Ivy Events for the invitation - what a great event! We tried out our new song - I'd do anything for love which was very well received by the crowds. We coped admirably at the end of the song acapella when the power suddenly cut out! True professionals. Great gig, well done rockies! Proud of you all.
